"Sometimes I look at that picture (a picture of his father) and think when I look in the mirror, that’s me too! I’ve lost all that hair, more often than not I have a cup of coffee in my hand just like him, and I smile the way he smiles. I talk the way he talks. Do you think that I’m that way because I loved him so much and I worked so hard at being that way? Oh no…I didn’t become his son by acting like my father, I was his son! And I smile the way he smiles and act the way he acts and talk the way he talks and walk the way he walks because I AM HIS SON!
We spend a considerable amount of time trying to get people to act like Jesus. We spend a considerable amount of time trying to get people to conform to the mind of Christ. And Paul says you don’t start there. You’re His! And if you’re His, you grow to look like Him."
